KOTA SAMARAHAN: The Head of State Tun Pehin Sri Dr Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar attended the state-level Premier Haj Course (Southern Zone) at the Universiti Malaysia Sarawak (UNIMAS) on Sunday (Apr 28).

He was accompanied by his wife, Toh Puan Fauziah Mohd Sanusi.

Organised by Lembaga Tabung Haji, the course will be conducted in stages throughout the state from April 28 until May 5.

It serves as an avenue for prospective pilgrims to review and clarify any queries they may have regarding the pilgrimage.

Throughout the duration of the course, participants will engage in practical sessions such as performing tawaf, sa’ie, stoning the jamarat (pillar) and other pilgrimage rituals in groups, providing them a glimpse of the holy land.

Meanwhile, Tabung Haji has prepared 17 locations for the organisation of the course. In Kuala Lumpur, it was held at the Federal Territory Mosque on April 20 to 21.

Earlier, during the programme, Wan Junaidi also witnessed allocation of RM18,000 to prospective Haj pilgrims from Sarawak.
