KUCHING: Head of State Tun Pehin Sri Dr Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar and his wife Toh Puan Datuk Patinggi Fauziah Mohd Sanusi welcomed a courtesy visit from the Small and Medium Enterprises Corporation Malaysia (SME Corp Malaysia) delegation today.
The delegation, led by chairmanTan Sri Bernard Dompok, met with Wan Junaidi at the Astana Negeri to discuss the progress and achievements of the corporation’s development programmes.
During the meeting, Wan Junaidi was briefed on SME Corp Malaysia’s strategic initiatives aimed at supporting Sarawak’s aspiration to achieve developed state status by 2030.
Speaking to the media after the visit, Dompok highlighted the significance of collaborations between the corporation and various ministries, agencies, departments, and associations involved in the development of the SME sector.
“This visit serves to recognise the successes of our partnerships and the implementation of SME development programmes at both the state and federal levels.
“We also hope to strengthen cooperation to enhance the implementation of local and international programmes in the future,” he said.
Among those present were SME Corp Malaysia chief executive officer Rizal Datuk Nainy, chief operating officer Mohd Izham Abdullah, and Sarawak branch director Julyskristin Poly.
