TYT to attend special screening of ‘Takluk: Lahad Datu’

KUCHING: Head of State Tun Pehin Sri Dr Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar has been invited to a special screening of the film ‘Takluk: Lahad Datu’ at The Spring Mall Kuching.

The special screening of ‘Takluk’ is scheduled for tonight (Oct 3) exclusively for the Sarawak Governor, and officials from the Premier’s Office, the Sarawak State Secretary, and selected students.

Former Inspector General of Police Tan Sri Datuk Seri Khalid Abu Bakar said the special screening which highlights a significant national security incident in Sabah in 2013 is a tribute to the Head of State,

Khalid, who also serves as the chairman of Multimedia Entertainment, said the purpose of the special screening is to share insights into the making of movie which revolves around the incident.

“This film highlights significant events that everyone is aware of, and we wish to share our experiences in its production with the Yang di-Pertua Negeri Sarawak,” he told the media after a courtesy visit to Wan Junaidi at Astana Negeri Sarawak today.

On the same note, Khalid praised Wan Junaidi’s extensive knowledge of filmmaking, noting that he has agreed to attend the special screening.
