KUCHING: Deputy Chief Minister Datuk Amar Douglas Uggah Embas yesterday launched the two-day Fama Sarawak agri- cultural food fest at the compound of the old DUN building.

He thanked Fama for organising the fest which he said was another good platform for planters, breeders and fishermen to sell their produce.

Uggah said the event is in line with the state government’s policy that whatever

planter planted, breeder bred and fisher- man caught could be sold to give income. Present at the function were state Famadirector Shahid Abu Bakar, permanent secretary to the Ministry of Modernisation of Agriculture, Native Land and Regional Development Awang Johari Awang Mustapha, state Agriculture Department director Dr Alvin Chai and the Veterinary Services Department director Dr Adrian Susin.
