KUCHING: Deputy Premier Datuk Amar Douglas Uggah Embas yesterday visited the residence of former State Secretary Datuk Amar Jaul Samion to pay his last respects to the latter’s mother Nora Jimbun, 90, who passed away on Tuesday.

Uggah was accompanied by the director of Unit For Other Religions (UNIFOR) Datuk Jack Aman and a political secretary to Sarawak Premier Petrus Igat Mathias.

Also present was Jaul’s brother Datuk Grunsin Ayom, the former director-general of the Malaysian Pepper Board.

The late Nora will be buried at the Batu Kitang Anglican Cemetery after her funeral service at the St. Basil’s Church, Batu Kawah at 9 am tomorrow (March 9).
