KOTA SAMARAHAN: Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) Sarawak has inked a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with China Pharmaceutical University (CPU) in Nanjing, China.
The MoU will focus on a series of research collaboration especially in the area of herbal and traditional Chinese medicine as well as student and staff mobility programmes.
UiTM Sarawak rector Prof Datuk Dr Jamil Hamali and CPU vice president Prof Kong Lingyi sealed the MoU in a ceremony at CPU Campus in Jiangning.
Also present at the ceremony from UiTM Sarawak were Deputy Rector Assoc Prof Dr Firdaus Abdullah, Prof Khong Heng Yen and Coordinator for Office of International Affairs Dr Ellen Chung.
CPU is the largest university of pharmacy in the world and it is known for its long history and leadership role in China’s pharmaceutical academic field.
Founded in 1936, CPU has 13 faculties and departments. With a student body of close to 15,000, it has campuses in Xuanwumen and Jiangning.
