KUCHING: New Sarawak Tribune and Suara Sarawak received a courtesy call from a lecturer and political analyst from Universiti Teknologi Mara (UiTM) Dr Aida Nur Kipli on Wednesday.
During the visit, reporters from both of the papers sat down with her in a question and answer (Q&A) session on her background before becoming a political analyst in the forthcoming 15th general election (GE15).
She said her political analysis consists of analysis on Malaysian politics generally, and more specific analysis on Sarawak politics.
“I would predict that the polling day would be between November 5 and November 12, the election must be done before the forthcoming monsoon season,” she said.
She added she would like to see newer manifesto from political parties in order for them to be able to convince the voters, especially the younger ones.
“I want to see, what kind of issues and promises that they are to present the voters.
“Because if they are going to present the same thing, then that would be a waste of time, but still I am interested,” she added.
The Q&A session lasted over one hour with some of the most wonderful and interesting insights from her on Malaysian politics as a whole.
