KUCHING: Universiti Teknologi Mara (UiTM) Sarawak campus in Kota Samarahan has been chosen by Higher Education Ministry (MoHE) to be the main organiser for the MyCareer @ MoHE Borneo Zone (Sarawak) programme from May 24 until May 25.
The programme will be conducted online in view of the Covid-19 pandemic which is still a major issue in the country.
The main objective of the programme is to increase the marketability of graduates as well as to help prepare graduates for the challenges of employment.
“A variety of exciting activities will be held throughout the programme such as career interviews, a series of webinars with leading panels and career tests.
“The co-organisers for this programme are Universiti Malaysia Sarawak (Unimas), University College of Technology Sarawak (UCTS), Swinburne University Sarawak, i-CATS University College, Center of Technical Excellence (Centexs), Kuching Community College and Kuching Polytechnic while the Social Security Organisation (Socso) is the programme’s strategic partner. About 30 companies from various industries are expected to participate in the programme.
“All graduates are invited to take this opportunity to look for suitable employment opportunities as well as the opportunity to obtain inputs from the companies involved. Online interview sessions will also be held during the programme,” said UiTM in a press release on Wednesday (May 5).
