KUCHING: Sarawak Public Communication Unit (UKAS) bowlers emerged as the winner of the Bank Islam Media Tenpin Bowling Match 2023 and brought home a cash prize of RM3,000.
Kelab Penerangan and Kacak Bergaya, respectively, took second and third places. They each received cash awards totaling RM2,000 and RM1,000.
For the highest points scored, Tan Chok Bui of United Daily won the male category, and Siti Zubaidah of UKAS won the female category.
A total of 15 teams from various media agencies, including UKAS, Radio Televisyen Malaysia (RTM), Malaysian National News Agency (BERNAMA), TVS, Suara Sarawak, Cats FM, and the New Sarawak Tribune, participated in the match.
Besides that, three Bank Islam branches — Bank Islam Simpang Tiga, Bank Islam Kota Samarahan, and Bank Islam Satok — also took part in the match.
Lucky draws were also held after the match, which was held at Megalanes Sarawak, Emart Batu Kawa here today (Jan 14).
Also present was Zulkipli Mohamed Zen, regional director of Bank Islam for East Malaysia.
