MOSCOW: Ukraine attacked Moscow overnight with three drones, two of them were shot down, the third suppressed by electronic warfare systems and fell on non-residential buildings in Moscow’s business centre, Sputnik quoted the Russian Defence Ministry.

“Overnight, an attempt of a terrorist attack by the Kyiv regime with unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) against facilities in the city of Moscow and the Moscow region was thwarted. Two Ukrainian UAVs were destroyed in the air by air defence systems above the Odintsovo and Naro-Fominsk districts of the Moscow region,” the ministry said.

“Another drone was suppressed by electronic warfare means and, having lost control, crashed into a complex of non-residential buildings in Moscow,” it said.

Meanwhile, Moscow Mayor Sergey Sobyanin said no casualties were reported.

Earlier Tuesday, Sobyanin said several drones, on their way to the Russian capital, were shot down by air defences, but one hit a tower in Moscow, damaging the 21st floor.
