SEREMBAN: Umno yesterday expressed condolences to the family of fireman Muhammad Adib Mohd Kassim, who died Monday night and urged the authorities to conduct a transparent investigation promptly.
Umno deputy president Datuk Seri Mohamad Hasan said the parties involved must be brought to justice and punished accordingly.
“Umno and I personally express my condolences to all the family members of the deceased. May the family have the strength and patience to deal with this difficult time.
“Thanks to the medical team and all the staff of the National Heart Institute and all those who have helped so far. Indeed, the sacrifice of national security personnel in carrying out their duties to the country is a huge contribution which cannot be equated,” he said in a statement here.
Muhammad Adib, who was injured in the fracas at the Sri Maha Mariamman temple in USJ 25, Subang Jaya on Nov 27 while carrying out a task to extinguish a fire in front of the premises, died at 9.41pm yesterday.

Meanwhile, the Negaraku Brigade in a statement here also urged that Muhammad Adib’s death be investigated in a transparent and independent manner without interference from any party.
