BELAWAI: A total of 629 asnaf and needy individuals from 10 villages here, through its respective village heads, have received a contribution totalling RM31,450.
The contribution was presented by Deputy Minister for Urban Planning, Land Administration and Environment Datuk Len Talif Salleh at the Darul Arqam Mosque here on Saturday.
The donation was contributed by the Kuala Rajang Islamic Welfare Trust (LAKIKR) and the Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu (PBB) N41 Kuala Rajang Service Centre.
These contributions aim to alleviate the recipients’ burdens and bring joy during Ramadan and the early preparations for Hari Raya Aidilfitri celebrations.
Len, who is also the Kuala Rajang assemblyman, expressed hope that both government agencies and private sectors would collaborate to support the asnaf community and elderly citizens.
Also present were the Belawai community leaders and village chiefs (KMKK), and its residents.
