KUCHING: Residents around Bandar Baru Samariang can now enjoy high-speed Internet throughout the day.
Assistant Minister in the Chief Minister’s Department (Islamic Affairs and DBKU) Datuk Dr Abdul Rahman Junaidi said Telekom Malaysia (TM) had completed the installation of equipment to supply high-speed Internet there through Unifi.
“Unifi is now available in Bandar Baru Samariang. Not only Bandar Baru Samariang but also the nearby housing estates have this high-speed Internet coverage.”
The Pantai Damai incumbent said this in a post on his Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu (PBB) Pantai Damai Facebook page on Tuesday (Nov 30).
He said that with the availability of high-speed internet service, locals could carry out their daily affairs easily and quickly.
“Residents can now conduct business online, work from home, and study without hindrance,” said Dr Abdul Rahman, who is also Assistant Utilities (Water Supply) Minister.
He thanked TM Sarawak for implementing the project.
“Congratulations to the local leaders who are always raising this issue of high-speed Internet for the benefit of the locals.”
