KOTA SAMARAHAN: Universiti Malaysia Sarawak (UNIMAS), represented by its vice-chancellor, Professor Dr. Ahmad Hata Rasit, is embarking on a strategic journey to Indonesia from Feb 28 to March 2, 2024.
The delegation will visit prominent educational institutions in Pontianak and Jakarta, including Universitas Tanjungpura (UNTAN), Pontianak State Polytechnic (POLNEP), and Jakarta State Polytechnic (PNJ), aiming to strengthen academic partnerships and foster collaboration.
During the visit, UNIMAS will engage in a series of significant events, including the signing of Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) with Pontianak State Polytechnic (POLNEP) and Jakarta State Polytechnic (PNJ).
“These agreements signify a milestone in joint efforts to support lecturers who have pursued advanced studies at UNIMAS, further enhancing academic cooperation between the institutions.
“Furthermore, on Feb 28, 2024, Professor Dr. Ahmad Hata Rasit delivered a public lecture at the State Islamic Institute (IAIN), Pontianak. Titled “Transformational Leadership in Higher Education,” this discourse aims to stimulate dialogue and inspire academic leaders and students alike,” UNIMAS said in a statement today.
Expanding the reach of UNIMAS’s academic offerings, the vice-chancellor will also participate in a Talk Show on Kompas TV.
“This platform presents an excellent opportunity to introduce UNIMAS’ diverse range of study programmes to the Indonesian community, fostering greater awareness and collaboration in the pursuit of academic excellence.
“This journey underscores UNIMAS’ commitment to international collaboration and academic excellence, transcending borders for the collective advancement of higher education,” the statement read.
