KOTA SAMARAHAN: Faculty of Engineering, Universiti Malaysia Sarawak (Unimas) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Reveron Consulting Sdn Bhd to strengthen cooperation towards developing professional capability in the contemporary knowledge of Building Information Modelling (BIM).
The MoU serves to establish joint efforts to promote academic collaboration between the academia and industry on the application of BIM and related infrastructure lifecycle solutions. The purpose of the MoU is to provide students with the opportunity for exposure to computing technology and information systems in the construction industry, which is in line with the industrial
revolution 4.0.
Unimas vice-Chancellor professor Datuk Dr Mohamad Kadim Suaidi and Reveron chief executive officer Ravindranath Koka, signed the MoU at Unimas yesterday.
The MoU signing was witnessed by Unimas dean of Engineering Faculty associate professor Dr Siti Noor Linda Taib and Reveron consulting advisor Datuk Seri Mohamed Azahari Mohamed Kamil.
Under the MoU, Reveron will sponsor a three-year Bentley software campus subscription for Unimas. This sponsorship provides the knowledge of BIM application via Bentley software to faculty members and students at Unimas.
