KOTA SAMARAHAN: The Universiti Malaysia Sarawak Sports Centre in collaboration with Malaysian Rugby Association will hold the Unimas Rugby 7s Open Championship 2019 at Unimas Sports Complex starting today.
The two-day championship is being divided into the men’s and women’s categories. A total of 31 teams have confirmed their participation comprising 24 men’s and seven women’s teams Among the teams are Unimas, Asasi Unimas, UiTM Hunters (UiTM Samarahan), UiTM Hunters Ladies (UiTM Samarahan), Q6 UiTM Wolves (UiTM Mukah), Universiti Teknologi Petronas (UTP Perak), Serdang Angels (UPM, Serdang), Wolfpack Old Boys (Kuching), KRFC (Kuching), UiTM Lions Ladies (UiTM Shah Alam), WORCS (Kuching), SHOAW Warriors RC (Kuching), GB13 Skulls (Kuching), Bujang Pogan Rugby Club (ATM, Bau), Spartan Old Boys (Kota Samarahan), Phoenix RC (Kota Samarahan), VOKMAT (Kuching), Kolej Abdillah (Kuching), BossKu RC (Kuching), Asajaya Old Boys (Kota Samarahan), Saribas Phoenix (Betong), RMAF Wildcats (Kuching), Nomad Angels (Bintulu) and Rose Kalas (Kuching).
The Unimas community and members of the public around Kuching and Kota Samarahan are welcome to watch the championship.
