It is a truth universally acknowledged that flying is one of the most effective ways to wreak havoc on your skin. However, United Airlines and Sunday Riley are attempting to change that.

The aviation giant and the cult skincare label have joined forces to launch a line of ‘amenity kits’ that will be available exclusively onboard the aircraft, and in the company’s United Polaris lounges and United Club locations with shower facilities.

The duo are offering three different amenity kits onboard, all featuring new Sunday Riley products. These include the ‘United Polaris business class’ kit, containing a hydrating lip balm with pomegranate seed oil and shea butter, a soothing face cream boasting a blend of botanicals, a nourishing shea butter hand cream and an invigorating facial cleansing cloth containing peppermint extract.

The second kit, the ‘United Premium Plus’, will contain the lip balm and hand cream, while the ‘United Premium Transcontinental’ kit will just feature the lip balm.

Premium cabin toilets on selected aircraft in United’s fleet will also offer a Sunday Riley face mist and hand cream, while United Polaris lounges, arrivals lounges and United Clubs with shower facilities will also feature beauty products from the brand, such as hand wash, shampoo and body wash.

“Being a part of the United experience gives us the opportunity to be with our customers wherever they go,” said the beauty brand’s founder and CEO, Sunday Riley. “We love being able to elevate the amenity offering and connect with an entirely new audience as they get to pamper themselves in the air.”

“Sunday and her team really took the time to understand how travel and the aircraft environment affects our customers and formulated an in-flight remedy that complements their journey with United from beginning to end,” added United’s Vice President of Marketing Mark Krolick.

Since being founded 10 years ago, Sunday Riley has expanded into a global phenomenon, known for its botanical-focused skincare products and millennial-friendly branding. – Relaxnews
