SARIKEI: A call for unity and dedication to the people marked the 65th anniversary celebration of the Sarawak United People’s Party (SUPP) here on Tuesday.
Deputy Minister of Natural Resources and Environment and Sarikei MP Datuk Seri Huang Tiong Sii urged all leaders and members to redouble their efforts in serving the community.
“Party unity and dedication are crucial as SUPP strives for continuous development and the betterment of the people’s lives,” he said in his speech during the event held at the N.45 Repok Service Centre.
Huang also expressed his appreciation to party president, Datuk Amar Professor Dr. Sim Kui Hian, for his leadership and vision in guiding the party towards a brighter future.
The anniversary celebration began with a flag-raising ceremony at the service centre, accompanied by the party anthem. The event was held simultaneously at all SUPP branches across Sarawak.
