SARIKEI: The existing unity among the multi-ethnic and multi-religious communities in Sarawak is the effort of the state government.
Natural Resources and Environmental Sustainability Deputy Minister Datuk Seri Huang Tiong Sii said the harmony among the people has been further enhanced under the leadership of Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg.
“Apart from ensuring the state’s harmonious atmosphere, the government also ensured various beneficial development initiatives are undertaken.
“This is for the people of Sarawak to enhance their standard of living and contribute to the development of the state,” he said during the Ngiling Bidai Gawai Dayak 2024 ceremony organised by the Sarikei Division Tuai Rumah Association at the Sarikei Sentral Hall recently.
Huang, who is also the Sarikei MP and Repok assemblyman, hoped the Ngiling Bidau programme would strengthen relations between association members and leaders in Sarikei.
