MUKAH: The Unity Night concert, a collaboration between Yayasan Perpaduan Sarawak (YPS) and Persatuan Melanau Mukah to celebrate Kaul Festival 2024, was a resounding success on Saturday night.
The event drew a diverse crowd, with members of the Melanau, Iban, Chinese, and other communities coming together for a night of music and unity.
The concert featured a variety of captivating performances, including those by Duta Sape YPS, Iwan, Morse Uotye, Wanie Alias, and the Sarawak Youth Traditional Orchestra Pioneers (POTRES).
Adding to the festive atmosphere were Mukah MP Datuk Hanifah Hajar Taib, Balingian assemblyman Abdul Yakub Arbi, and Tellian assemblyman Royston Valentine, who graced the event with their presence.
YPS, a non-profit organisation established by the late Tun Pehin Sri Abdul Taib Mahmud on May 16, 1994, has a long history of promoting unity and harmony among Sarawak’s diverse communities.
