MIRI: A family at the government quarters in Taman Tunku here had an unwanted visitor in the form of a 1m-long cobra.
Fortunately, the venomous snake was safely removed by a team from the Malaysian Civil Defence Force (APM), who rushed to the quarters after responding to an emergency call around 8.19pm, yesterday (May 8).
Upon arriving at the quarters, they found the reptile hiding underneath the kitchen cabinet.
It took team members less than 10 minutes to catch the snake. It was later released back into the wild.
