MARUDI: A one-metre-long cobra was removed safely from a living room in Rh Gundang longhouse early on Wednesday morning.
A team of firemen from Marudi fire station rushed to the scene after being alerted on the discovery of the reptile at 6.40am.
Upon arriving at the longhouse, they found the venomous snake on a chair in the living room.
It took the firemen less than 10 minutes to capture the reptile which was later released far away from human habitation.
