KOTA SAMARAHAN: The Universal Peace Federations (UPF) scholarship is now open for application. In a press statement issued here yesterday, UPF revealed that a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed with EduFly College to promote a welfare plan by giving out up to 300 pax of full free scholarship totalling at RM12 million. UPF is an NGO in Special Consultative Status with the Economic and Social Council of the United Nations.
Throughout the year, UPF offers relief and humanitarian programmes, service-learning projects, character education and sports programmes with a special focus on personal leadership and peacemaking skills.
The Managing Director of EduFly College, Yap Keong Foon said that after being appointed as the ‘Ambassador for Peace’ by UPF, he decided to support peace movement in the field of education. According to him, the tuition fees for Diploma in Business Administration (majoring in digital marketing) was RM40,000 and this two-year programme enables students to learn online marketing skills. Practical training of online trading is the core of the course.
This course enables students to efficiently conduct comprehensive learning and practice in online store transactions, management and operations. What is more worth mentioning is that in response to the purpose and mission of UPF, this will be a Heart leadership programme.
Those who have received this full free scholarship will be participating in various UPF community service activities during the afterschool hours, students will receive comprehensive training, experience self transformation, in terms of both intrinsic personality and external expertise.
UPF Full Scholarship is now available for SPM school leavers, the poor group of young people between the ages of 18 and 30. Those who apply for Diploma must fulfil the qualification of at least scoring 3 credits in SPM. If necessary, UPF will assist students in seeking accommodation and parttime work opportunities.
