KUCHING: All Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) Sarawak alumni have been invited to participate in a high tea event organised by the Persatuan Alumni Universiti Putra Malaysia Sarawak (PAUPM) here.
PAUPM Protem Chairman Datuk Sylvester Entri Muran said there will be briefings on its direction and activities that will provide benefits to members, including business briefings during the event slated for Nov 16.
“Therefore, we urge the UPM alumni to participate in the event which is expected to be graced by Unity Minister Datuk Aaron Agong Dagang, who is also a UPM alumnus,” he said here on today (Oct 8).
There are 120 members of PAUPM Sarawak, Sylvester said, with more than 7,000 UPM alumni in the state.
“We invite more people to join the association, as the membership is open to all UPM Sarawak graduates be they retired civil servants, in the private sector or still serving as well as all fresh graduates.
“Let us grow this associattion together for the benefit of all members and Sarawak as a whole.
“We are confident that this association will deliver as planned by the Protem Committee members,” he added.
On another note Sylvester said an inaugural meeting will be held on Nov 23, where there will an election of new office-bearers.
