‘Game of Thrones’ is approaching its eighth and final season this springtime, but superfans can take comfort in the fact that the franchise is being immortalised as a makeup collection by Urban Decay.
The cruelty-free beauty brand has teamed up with HBO’s hit TV show to launch a beauty collaboration which, according to a teaser video posted to the label’s Instagram page, is set for release in April – when the newest series of the show will air.
Details regarding the exact contents of the collection are being kept under wraps for now, but the promotional images hint at highly-pigmented eyeshadows and lipsticks with metallic finishes, in vivid fiery bronzes and icy blue hues. There is speculation that the brand’s hashtag #forthethrone could be a hint about the name of the collection.
According to Bustle, Urban Decay has referred to the collaboration as being inspired by our favourite places in Westeros and the strong women of the Seven Kingdoms.
TV show collaborations are fast becoming a major cosmetics trend; last month saw the cult series ‘Beverly Hills 90210’ get its own collection of palettes via Sola Cosmetics, while Lush Cosmetics recruited three queens from the TV show ‘RuPaul’s Drag Race’ to star in its 2018 holiday campaign. – Relaxnews
