PUSA: The government has been urged to give urgency to the need for Fire and Rescue Stations (BBP) in the three main districts of Batang Lupar, namely Pusa, Sebuyau and Lingga.

Batang Lupar MP Mohamad Shafizan Kepli said the request had been raised by the assemblyman of the area many times.

“Therefore, I would like to draw the attention of the responsible ministry to consider the establishment of BBP in Pusa, Sebuyau and Lingga Districts.

“This is because the nearest BBP for example Saratok, Betong, Sri Aman is more than an hour away.

“I also raised this matter in the Dewan Rakyat,” he said after a house fire in Kampung Hulu Tambak on Saturday.

“And this is one of the latest cases of fire when the BBP was just too far away (57 kilometers) and the house could not be saved.

“I understand a family of nine lived there together. I hope the Pusa District Disaster Management Committee will act to help as much as they can,” he said.
