KUCHING: The United States (US) is committed to strengthening collaboration with Sarawak in supporting environmental conservation efforts and promoting sustainability.
US Ambassador to Malaysia, Edgard D. Kagan, was confident that this partnership would yield long-term benefits for both the US and Sarawak.
“Sarawak has significant potential in the field of renewable energy due to its rich natural resources.
“I see Sarawak as a leader in the transition to clean energy, which provides opportunities for American companies to engage in this field. Additionally, I see greater opportunities to expand and strengthen the robust bilateral trade and investment relations between both parties,” he said during a courtesy call on Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg at his office in the Sarawak State Legislative Assembly (DUN) Building on Tuesday (May 14).
Also present during the courtesy call was Deputy Minister of Urban Planning, Land Administration and Environment Datuk Len Talif Salleh.
