SIBURAN: Recipients of government grants are reminded to use the funds provided by the Sarawak government solely for their intended purposes and not to divert them for other use.
Minister for Education, Innovation and Talent Development Datuk Seri Roland Sagah Wee Inn also reminded them to deposit the cheques into the bank immediately to avoid expiry.
”The Village Development and Security Committees (JKKKs) or associations must also update their respective bank accounts thus ensuring the smooth flow of funds,” he said when presenting rural development funds at the Kampung Sinjok Multipurpose Hall, here, recently.
He reminded the JKKKs to record and report on every activity carried out to avoid misuse of funds.
During the event, Sagah presented grants totalling RM1.855 million to 123 recipients for the implementation of several ‘Projek Khas’ in the Tarat constituency.
He also presented a cheque for RM25,000 from the Unit for Other Religions (UNIFOR) to the chairman of St Michael’s Church, Teng Bukap, Kevin Jindes Raup for the renovation of the church hall.
