KUCHING: A foreign woman was injured in collision between a workers’ van and a motorcycle in the Sama Jaya Free Industrial Zone, Tabuan Jaya, here early today.
A spokesman for the Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) said firemen from Tabuan Jaya station were promptly deployed to the scene after receiving an emergency call around 6.10 am.
On arrival, they discovered the motorcyclist was trapped beneath the van.
The firemen had to resort to rescue tools to extricate the injured woman.
She was placed onto a scoop stretcher before being handed over to paramedics for medical attention.
The extent of her injuries is not immediately known.
Meanwhile, the driver and passengers of the van escaped unhurt.
The rescuers ended their operation around 6.30 am.
