KUCHING: A total of 98 stalls selling variety of food and drinks in conjunction with Ramadan month are now operating at Sukma Ria Bazaar Ramadan in Kuching.
The bazaar prepared by Kuching North City Commission (DBKU) was yesterday launched by Petra Jaya Member of Parliament Datuk Seri Fadillah Yusof. Fadillah when asked on his comment on Pan Borneo Highway project that will be continued by the new government, said “I think the new government should honour whatever that has been committed by the previous government.
“I believe this is good for the people but of course that solely rests on the new government on whatever they want to decide,” he pointed out when met by reporters after the walkabout at the Sukma Ria Ramadan Bazaar He said as far as the Sarawak is concerned, the expectation of the people is that whatever projects that had been announced and committed under the previous government should be continued on. “It is for the benefit of the people, what more to say, Sarawak needs it.
“On the coastal highway, we leave it to the new government as that is their priority, “ he said.
He hoped that the new government would be able to assist the state government in making sure that all the infrastructures and amenities needed to be continued. “On Batang Lupar Bridge, whose financing is on a 50-50 basis between the state and federal governments, should be continued because it is for the benefit of the people and we are talking about the people,” he said.
