SIBU: Various items, including rice, sugar, flour and carbonated drinks, were donated to a total of 20 underprivileged people in the Kampung Hilir area here in conjunction with the coming Hari Raya Aidilfitri.
The presentation ceremony was held at Surau Darul Sa’adah, Jalan Pak Dris, Kampung Hilir, today.
The contributions came from Kapitan Theng Swee Ming, who said: “I give this donation from my heart, to all those present (recipients).
It is hoped that it can help them as Hari Raya Aidilfitri approaches.”
The recipients, who were also given duit raya, consisted of poor families, single mothers and orphans.
Theng also donated several items, including gas stove, prayer mats and 50 boxes of mineral water, to Surau Darul Sa’adah.
