SIBU: Persatuan Veteran Armor Sarawak (PVAS) Sibu branch recently donated some money to one of its members who was diagnosed with a chronic illness.

Retired member of the Malaysian Royal Armoured Corps (KAD), Lawrence Dexter Johny, 58, a father of four from Rumah Agatha, Sungai Sengan, Jalan Durin was recently admitted to Sibu Hospital.

Present to hand over the donation to Lawrence was PVAS chairman Gregory Sutek.

Meanwhile, Gregory called upon KAD retirees who have yet to register with the association to sign up.

“This is so that the welfare of the retirees can be taken care of. This is to recognise their service to the nation while they were serving,” he said.

PVAS currently has 300 members statewide and only has a branch in Sibu.
