KUCHING: A man suffered injuries to his face and minor scratches on his hands after being robbed along Jalan Padungan here Friday.

According to eyewitnesses, the 29-year-old victim had just exited a convenience store past midnight when he was approached by an unknown man on a motorcycle.

A scuffle ensued between the two and the victim was dragged in his attempt to retrieve his belongings.

The suspect fled the scene with the victim’s bag containing his phone and wallet.

He sought treatment at Sarawak General Hospital and was discharged at 2pm yesterday.

In his torn outfit following the aftermath of the incident, he proceeded to the police station to lodge a report.

Separately, two drivers were unharmed after being involved in a head-on collision at Kampung Daun, Singai here yesterday.

In the 7am incident, the two in their respective sedan cars were travelling from opposite directions when they collided head-on.

No injuries were reported but both vehicles were severely damaged.
