KUCHING: Entries for the Sarawak State Level Rabies Awareness Short Video Competition 2020 has now been extended until September 18 to allow for more participants to join the competition.
According to the State Information Department, the competition can be entered for free and it offers lucrative prizes of RM5,000, RM3,000 and RM2,000 to the first, second, third place winners respectively.
The competition also offers RM1,000 to four consolation winners as well as participation certificates for all participants.
“Participations are for individuals and each participant can submit more than one entry based on one of the genres such as drama, sketch, comedy and documentary.
“Participants only need to prepare a video of between two to three minutes based on the theme ‘Be Aware of Rabies’ which covers at least three of the five scopes of the rabies campaign such as signs and symptoms, measures taken during and after bites, vaccination programmes, advices and the hopes and dangers of rabies,” it said in a statement issued today.
The department noted the resources that can be used are can be found through the Ministry of Health’s website at www.infosihat.gov.my, www.myhealth.gov.my and the Department of Veterinary Service’s website at http://www.dvs.sarawak.gov.my.
The winning video of this competition will be announced and displayed during the “World Rabies Day” which is expected to be held here on September 28.
Participants are required to submit a complete entry along with the relevant forms via email address at videorabies@gmail.com.
