Five years after launching its “Bonbon” fragrance, the Viktor & Rolf fashion house has unveiled a new flanker for its renowned candy-sweet scent. The perfume, named “Bonbon Pastel,” is the collection’s brightest and lightest Eau de Toilette yet, and lands in June.
The olfactive extension of Viktor & Rolf’s haute couture creations — notably symbolised by the iconic bow — the “Bonbon” collection is expanding with a new Eau de Toilette called “Bonbon Pastel,” billed as a more delicate, fresh and bright option than previous iterations.
Developed by perfumers Cécile Matton and Serge Majoullier, the new fragrance stands out with its still deliciously gourmand but now softer caramel accord, the signature of all scents in the “Bonbon” collection.
The Eau de Toilette opens with notes of bergamot essential oil, spiced cardamom, mandarin essential oil and a marine accord dubbed Aqual, followed by notes of orange blossom absolute and Neroliwood. Base notes bring a sweet, gourmand caramel accord, plus sandalwood, amber and musk.
Again adopting the iconic bow design, the “Bonbon Pastel” bottle is finished in a shaded pink, starting dark in the center and becoming clearer towards the edges.
“Bonbon Pastel” is due out in June priced US$88 for 50ml. – Relaxnews
