SERIAN: Fund amounting to RM150,000 was allocated under the Rural Transformation Programme (RTP) 2023 to improve the condition of Dewan Kampung Kranji Atas here.

In a report by the Sarawak Public Communication Unit (UKAS), Deputy Minister of Food Industry, Commodity and Regional Development Martin Ben said two more projects in the Kedup constituency have been approved as well.

The two projects are the village drainage system amounting to RM100,000 and project to improve the ‘ruai’ (common gallery) of Kampung Kranji Baroh amounting to RM130,000.

He made this remark during his recent work visit to both villages to check on the drainage projects and agricultural roads that have been completed in both areas.

Martin hoped that with such basic facilities provided by the government, the residents of the two villages would be able to work together to keep the village clean and safe.

During the visit, he was accompanied by both Kampung Kranji Atas and Kampung Kranji Baroh longhouse chiefs, Tuai Rumah Sipuron Bitong and TR Nanang Bitong and noted on the current development projects that have been requested by the residents of both villages.
