KOTA PADAWAN: The headmen and community chiefs (KMKK) in the Padawan area are strongly encouraged to promptly create household profiles for their respective villages.
Mambong assemblyman Datuk Dr Jerip Susil said this is to ensure that related authorities would know how many people live in a household within their village.
“This is because we came to notice that some of the villages have not done their profile yet.
“That being said, I urge everyone (KMKK) to profile your residents so that we know how many people are living in a house within your village,” he said.
He added that preservation towards natural heritage in Padawan is also crucial as it is in line with the state’s vision for the area which is tourism and agriculture.
“Some of our tourism spots such as Bengoh Dam, Anna Rais longhouse must be preserved and protected at all costs.
“Because when the tourists are heading to the tourism spot, we want to ensure that they enjoy the full tourism experience we have to offer,” he said.
He said this when officiating at the capacity building workshop and handing over of certificates of appointment extension to Padawan sub-district community leaders at Meeting Room, Padawan sub-district office here on Thursday.
In the meantime, the Deputy Minister of Transport said, it is important for all KMKK within Padawan to continue to unite and help develop the area into a premium tourism spot.
“Our vision is to cultivate unique tourism experiences in every village across Padawan, ensuring that each community offers its own distinct and memorable attraction, enriching both the local economy and cultural diversity,” he added.
