MUKAH: The UiTM Sarawak Branch, Mukah Campus has established a Product Development, Marketing and Community Empowerment through ecotourism and Tellian area entrepreneurship programme in association with the Tellian Community Service Centre.
This three-day programme aims to build eco-tourism and entrepreneurship initiatives, diversify rural entrepreneurs’ sources of income by enhancing their business knowledge, introduce them to the world of internet commerce, and create rural entrepreneurs who focus on ecotourism.
A total of 50 villagers from the Tellian area, Mukah, who are business owners, have been chosen to participate in the programme.
Seven invited speakers comprising lecturers from the UiTM Sarawak Branch Mukah Campus — shared their knowledge with the programme participants.
Tellian assemblyman Royston Valentine officiated at the closing ceremony of the programme held at the Kingwood Hotel Mukah.
