TEBEDU: The villagers of Kampung Insan Jaya now has access to a new multipurpose hall.

According to Tebedu assemblyman Dr. Simon Sinang Bada, the hall was constructed at a cost of RM150,000 and implemented under the 2023 Rural Transformation Programme (RTP) project allocation.

“With the completion of the hall project, it will certainly provide convenience for the residents of Kampung Insan Jaya to hold various activities and programmes throughout the year,” he said after witnessing the symbolic handover of the completed project here, recently.

After the ceremony, Dr. Simon visited the proposed site for the expansion of the cemetery land in Kampung Darul Iman here.

Earlier, he chaired a briefing at the Tebedu District Office regarding the proposal to construct the new Temong/Tepoi Road Phase 2.

According to him, the project proposal for the 17.3km road will be issued by the third quarter of this year at the latest.

“Once this road is completed, it will certainly benefit six villages, namely Kampung Temong Putah, Temong Mura, Temong Mawang, Kampung Darul Falah/Huda, and Kampung Tepoi.

“I also hope that the construction of this road will not face any objections from the residents because it will undoubtedly solve all the problems previously encountered by the six villages along this road,” he explained.

He said the implementing agency for the project is the Serian Division Public Works Department (PWD).
