Villagers receive farm equipment under AFF

KUCHING: A total of 24 villagers from Kampung Rajang received farm equipment under the Agriculture Facilitation Fund (AFF) on Friday (Jan 7).
Assistant Minister for Natural Resources and Urban Development cum Kuala Rajang assemblyman Datuk Len Talif Salleh said 123 participants from the constituency were eligible to receive the assistance.
They comprise residents of Kampung Rajang, Kampung Belawai, Kampung Jerijeh, and Semalau. The rest of the participants will receive the equipment later his month.
“Each participant will receive input in the form of food processing equipment and machinery worth RM3,500. The total assistance given is about RM300,000,” he said in a Facebook post on Friday.
“I hope that all participants can benefit from this assistance in order to increase productivity and family income,” said Len when presenting the farm equipment to recipients during a symbolic handover ceremony held at Kampung Belawai Food Court.
Also present were Tanjung Manis District Officer Ismail Kasah and local community leaders.
