KAPIT: Villagers here have been able to sort out their identification document problems in the ongoing Menyemai Kasih Rakyat (Mekar) programme.

According to a statement, the programme which is being held at Uma Baha, Sang Anau from Feb 20 to Feb 24 was organised by the National Registration Department (JPN) and was targeting about 300 village folk here.

Its officer Morrison Sunex said among the services provided by the mobile counter is change of address and first time identification card application for children 12 years old and above.

Village chief Enyonmos Ngang expressed his appreciation to all the agencies involved for offering services to the residents of his village.

“We are very grateful the agency has taken the trouble to come here because with that, the villagers can save money and time going to Kapit town to attend to their official business,” he said.

As such, the head of the local community, Penghulu Robinson Oyo Lawai called on the people of Sang Anau to continue to cooperate with the government so that development here can be implemented faster and easily.
