KOTA SAMARAHAN: “Don’t view this skills certificate as nothing. It is the best option for those who have no interest in academic studies,” said a graduate.

Nasrullah Hassan

Nasrullah Hassan, 24, is one of the recipients of Industrial Training Institute (ILP) Kota Samarahan’s Best Graduate Award at the 15th JTM Training Institution (ILJTM) convocation ceremony here.

According to him, after finishing his Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM), he had no interest in continuing his studies.

“For six months after finishing SPM, I was unemployed and six months later, I worked. I continued my studies at ILP Kota Samarahan a year after SPM.

“I am not interested in theory (academic studies) because my interest is more to technical work, including carpentry,” he said when met at the convocation ceremony on Wednesday (June 15).

He added that his interest to continue his studies to certificate level was also due to advertisements aired on the television and upon advice from family members.

“At the same time, I am also interested in a field like this and after graduating in the Electrical Technology certificate, I am now connecting to the L1 Electrical Machinery Maintenance major.

“I hope that friends who still do not know their direction can consider the field of skills, especially at ILP Kota Samarahan. There are many other fields to choose from.”
