KUCHING: Even having to walk with crutches, a retired policeman, did not give up the opportunity to exercise his right to vote.

Johan Taha, shows his inked finger after casting his vote at SK Rakyat Haji Bolhassan, here in Kuching.

Johan Taha, 79, said he has never missed an opportunity to vote in the Petra Jaya Parliament since registering as a voter.

Alhamdulillah, I am satisfied to be able to carry out one of my responsibilities to the country despite facing difficulties in walking.

“Thank you also to the election officials here, for providing a wheelchair to facilitate my movement to cast my vote at SK Rakyat Haji Bolhassan, here,” he said.

Accordingly, he has high hopes that the new government that will be formed later will be a stable government capable of improving the state’s economy.
