KUCHING: What About Kuching (WAK) 2018 will be held this coming 29 September to 28 October 2018 at various locations around the city.
Minister for Tourism, Arts, Culture, Youth and Sports, Datuk Abdul Karim Rahman Hamzah said that there would be 76 confirmed events from 50 content providers including artistes, comedians, poets, dancers, foodies, filmmakers, performers, social media drivers and more.
“October is usually a slow month in Kuching. With this event, it will enliven the city to become a more exciting and vibrant place.
“We will be able to see the variety of talents from Kuching and hope to see a more lively WAK this year,” he said during a press conference at The Old Courthouse here on Wednesday.
Also unveiled during the press conference was WAK 2018’s calendar of events which comprise performances by local artistes, tattoo exhibitions, various workshops, poetry reading and story sharing showcases, talks, and dance classes. Also present was Assistant Minister for Tourism, Arts and Culture, Datuk Lee Kim Shin.
