Tourism, Creative Industry and Performing Arts Minister Datuk Seri Abdul Karim Rahman Hamzah said the inclusion of the two satellite mini festivals will extend the cultural extravaganza to the creative communities in central and northern Sarawak.
He said the festival in Sibu would be held in June and in Miri in August.
“We should be excited and stay tuned; the respective city councils together and the WAK team will be unveiling further details in the upcoming weeks and months.
“We also take this opportunity to call on all creative communities from Sarawak to seize this opportunity and participate in this year’s WAK and to submit their proposals,” he told a press conference after officiating at the What About Kuching (WAK) 2024 Call for Proposal at The Borneo Hotel here, yesterday (March 18).
