MUKAH: The date for walk-in vaccinations here has been extended until Thursday (Aug 5), said a source from Mukah District Covid-19 Immunisation Task Force (CITF).

“Those who previously refused to receive the vaccines are welcome to walk into the vaccination centre at Dewan Suarah Mesra here,” it said in a simple notice on social media on Tuesday (Aug 3).

It added the free vaccination was for individuals aged 18 years and above including pregnant mothers who were 14 to 33 weeks’ pregnant.

Meanwhile, New Sarawak Tribune discovered that fewer vaccine recipients were coming to the vaccination centre at Dewan Suarah Mesra here in the last few days.

It was partly because more people had been vaccinated in the hope of achieving herd immunity by the end of this month.
