KUCHING: More than 800 party members have gathered at the Maktab Rendah Sains Mara (MRSM) here today to show for the Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) candidate Datuk Seri Nancy Shukri, who will be submitting her nomination paper to contest in the Santubong parliamentary.
The procession started with a recitation of prayer at 8am before heading to the Institut Kemahiran Mara Kuching (IKM) nomination centre, located nearby.
Datuk Seri Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar, the former Santubong MP, who is not seeking re-election, also joined the party members in the procession, together with Tanjong Datu assemblyman Azizul Annuar Adenan, Pantai Damai assemblyman Datuk Dr Abdul Rahman Junaidi.
Nancy, who was previously the member of parliament (MP) for Batang Sadong, is replacing Wan Junaidi in Santubong.
