KUCHING: Former Santubong MP Tan Sri Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar has assured that the development projects that were initiated during his tenure will be continued.
Wan Junaidi, now the Senate president said a total of 25 projects that are still ongoing in Santubong being are being implemented by the federal government.
He added that the submission of the letter confirming the implementation of this project was also planned earlier but has been delayed due to time constraints.
“Of the total of the ongoing projects, 19 of them are under the Implementation Coordination Unit, Prime Minister’s Department worth RM11,436,000 while another six of them are under the Ministry of Rural and Regional Development worth RM1,100,00.
“With that, these 25 projects worth RM12,536,000 will be continued by the Federal Government,” he said.
He said this during the handing over ceremony of the projects for Santubong Parliament at Baitulmal Hall here last night (Oct 28).
As the projects has been handed over to the penghulu and the community leaders, he expressed his confidence that his successor, current Santubong MP Datuk Seri Nancy Shukri, will continue to monitor the implementation of the said projects.
This is to ensure that they will be completed according to schedule to meet the current needs of the Santubong Parliamentary constituency.
