KUCHING: Head of State Tun Pehin Sri Dr. Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar and his wife Toh Puan Fauziah Mohd Sanusi hosted two courtesy visits today (Aug 26) at Astana Negeri.
The first delegation, led by Datuk Agil Natt, chairman of Affin Bank Berhad, included the president and group chief executive officer, Datuk Wan Razly Abdullah.
This was followed by the Sarawak Islamic Council (SIC) president Datuk Misnu Taha, who also serves as the organising chairman of the Maulidur Rasul celebration.
Addressing the media, Misnu said that Wan Junaidi and Fauziah will grace the State-Level Maulidur Rasul celebration on September 16 and 17 in Mukah.
The celebration will commence with a Thanksgiving Ceremony at Setia Raja Mosque on September 16.
The following day will feature the State-Level Maulidur Rasul Assembly and Parade at Dataran Pehin Setia Raja in Mukah.
Also present were Tellian assemblyman Royston Valentine, Balingian assemblyman Abdul Yaakub Arbi, director of the Sarawak Islamic Department and co-chairman of the event, Mual Suaud and Mukah Resident Kueh Lei Poh.
