KUCHING: A 10-foot-long crocodile that wandered into Kampung Hilir Tabuan here was rescued by firemen last night (Jan 10).
The State Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) operation centre said firefighters were told about the reptile that was spotted under a house in the village at about 11 pm.
“Firemen at the scene then proceeded to capture the crocodile after consulting with the Sarawak Forestry Corporation (SFC),” said the statement today.
The crocodile was captured with the help of villagers and later handed over to the Sarawak Forestry Corporation for further action. The whole operation ended at 12.20 am.
